The Beeston Film Festival returns for its 8th Year

ANNOUNCING THE 8TH BEESTON FILM FESTIVAL 2022: The biggest international short film festival in the Midlands


The Beeston Film Festival is the biggest international short film festival in the Midlands and for 8 years the festival has provided an amazing platform for the Midlands community to celebrate film and filmmakers from all over the world.


And for the first time ever the festival takes place in Beeston’s amazing new multiplex at The Arc Cinema as well as its regular place online.


The festival online dates are from Friday 1st April to Sunday 3rd April 2022 with full programme details just announced on their website here.


Over 3 days more than 120 films from 30+ countries across every continent will excite East Midlands audiences. The festival will also present a wide range of films including dedicated horror, comedy, non-fiction, science-fiction and drama sessions.


In addition there will be films expressing women’s voices and campaigning, and a host of message-driven films that aim to make the world “A Better Place”.


Look out for a number of variety pack sessions too, which contain great films across a variety of genres.


Festival Director John Currie explains, "The festival gives audiences the opportunity to see famous filmmakers of the future telling a wide range of stories. These will demonstrate the style and imagination that will make them into next year’s JJ Abrams or Greta Gerwig".
